Kayla and Jordan Martelli put “lemonade stand” on a summer bucket list. Then they decided the money should go to kids with cancer.

Their parents went looking for the right place to send it and found Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, started by a four-year-old named Alex Scott who was fighting cancer herself.

Fifteen years in, it still happens on the same front lawn. Neighbors come. The mayor comes. Local businesses chip in. Every dollar goes to childhood cancer research.
